Duty Manager
INTRODUCTION
This position is located within the Bayview Complex at the Morale Welfare and Recreation Food and Beverage Department aboard Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The position is directly responsible for the Gourmet Bean and Jerk House.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent will monitor and supervise operations of a Club, restaurant or assigned area, normally during the absence of the Club Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Shift maybe on days, nights or on weekends. Responsible for the issue, receipt, and control of cash. Makes unscheduled cash counts. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, customer misbehavior and take appropriate action. Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of one year experience as a Club Operation Assistant or Duty Manager which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operations, or equivalent leadership experience is required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales operation. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, and to supervise and provide work direction to other employees.
EVALUATION: Candidates will be evaluated on quality and nature of the experience pertinent to the position. Application must show sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the full range of duties of the Duty Manager.
